GABONESE FEVER

GABONESE FEVER

Salut a tous,

today on the blog, let’s rock the African print. This printed strapless dress that I am rocking was made by my mom’s tailor back home (GABON). This dress was made for my elder sister’s traditional wedding.

As per traditional custom, all family members must wear the same printed material but in their own style.

My first thought for the occasion was something more like a midi-skirt which I would have worn with a white shirt but when I saw this look in a magazine, I knew it was made for me…. while putting together this look for this diary post, I felt emotional as I was thinking of my motherland.

The sudden realization that December 2015 was actually my first Christmas and new year far from my family, yet this same period gave me the time and motivation to delve into my passion for style and creating “mereyllestyle”. So it is with great pleasure that I share with you a bit of where I come from, really hope you will love it.
